Your Role

As a designer, you will play an important role in Barracuda's development of drawings that optimally meet customer needs. You will also provide technical sales support, project management, and create production documentation. We work under the motto of always meeting customer needs with a strong focus on efficiency, delivery capability, and quality.

Examples of what you will do in your daily work:

• Work in CAD tools (2D and 3D) to create designs that meet customer specifications.
• In close collaboration with development and measurement engineers, ensure that the design complies with production guidelines.
• Compile design documentation (drawings, cutting files, and BOM) for handover to production preparation.
• Through CAD documentation from the customer or measurement of objects, ensure that the right conditions exist to carry out the assignment.
• Support salespeople in their work with customers through design proposals.
• Contribute images and text to our technical documentation.
• Participate in customer meetings and presentations, thereby supporting the development of profitable customer solutions.
• Provide technical documentation and calculations to production preparation for cost estimation.
• Test manufactured prototypes at the customer.
• Plan, project manage, and execute everything from smaller assignments to larger projects.
• Read and understand customer specifications from a technical and capability perspective.

You will be part of Saab's business unit Barracuda's project management team, stationed in Gamleby. Barracuda is a world leader in camouflage and deception with business operations worldwide.

Your Profile

To be considered for this position, you need to have the following:

• At least a high school education.
• Knowledge of one or more CAD tools.
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• Experience working with the most common programs in the Office suite.
• Driver's license (B).

As a person, we see that you are communicative, structured, and can work practically. You enjoy working both independently and in a team and find it easy to collaborate and communicate with others. You take responsibility for your work and take initiative to drive your work forward to the desired conclusion and results. When necessary, you find new paths and take on unfamiliar tasks.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable security protection regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may entail requirements for certain citizenship.
